It was amazing! Truly beautiful location—feels like a painting. We stayed at The Shay and really enjoyed our time there. It is very quiet, and to be honest, the bad phone signal was an absolute blessing! It gave us the opportunity to be completely in the moment, connect with nature, and enjoy the sounds and peace. Horses and lambs passed by our place many times—they were really sweet and enjoyed the attention. I highly recommend spending a few nights there!

Hubby and I booked this for a weekend away to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere peaceful, to disconnect from the world and just connect with eachother and this was perfect for that. When we heard there is animals on the property we had our hopes up and we were overjoyed with all the animal interaction we got. We loved petting the cows and horses, seeing them roam by along with the sheep, there were kangaroos and a little joey hopping around too. Loved our stay at the Shay. The location was very country, which was exactly what we were looking for! The never ending parade of animals was amazing. I awoke one morning and thought I was looking at a mural! No, it was real horses inquisitive of us! The accommodation was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom had a very luxurious feel and the tapware divine! A great stay which I will never forget!

Had such a special time at Country Mile Escape. The view almost all day is spectacular especially during sunset. Trish is such a lovely host. The bathroom at The Shay is really clean and has a luxurious feel to it. Everything is provided, all you need to bring — food, drinking water, good vibes. While reception/data connection is almost non-existent, it’s a good way to disconnect and enjoy the country life.

We enjoyed a peaceful few days together as a couple. Location was good only a short trip to town. Accommodation was excellent, clean and comfortable. Loved being in country and enjoyed the visits from sheep, cattle, horses, birds and joeys. Rainbows blessed us on two of the days. Would recommend the venue to anyone.

A perfect, relaxing country escape. The cabin was extremely comfortable and well equipped but the highlight was the surrounds. The rolling hills and local animals were the perfect scenery with a morning coffee or afternoon wine. We wished we could have stated longer and will definitely be back.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time at the Country Mile Escape. The view, the animals, the gorgeous bath all contributed to a very peaceful and rejuvenating New Years. Trish and her family were very responsive and left clear instructions. It's clear from the abundance of living things that surround the cottage (the cows and horses, wallabys, so many kinds of pretty insects and varieties of birds) that the cottage is built in a way that treads lightly on nature. Thank you for a wonderful time Trish!
