​We had a great experience at Flick’s in Darwin. Located right in The Cinema Collective on Mitchell Street, this place has such a cool, breezy pavilion vibe. It’s the perfect mix of Darwin’s nostalgic history (it’s built in the old cinema foyer) and modern, tropical feel. ​The open show kitchen is a real highlight watching the chefs work the charcoal grill and wood-fired pizza oven adds a great bit of theater to the evening. Last night was such a good vibe, and a huge part of that was the staff. A massive shoutout to the girls behind the bar. They were so aware of their female customers and kept checking in on us when some middle-aged men came over to our table, just to make sure we were okay. Later, I went up to the bar and mentioned it, and they immediately took it seriously and sent Nick over to handle it. Nick from security was incredible with me and the girls. I rate the $9 pints after 4pm. The 400g rib-eye is about 200g bone. I wouldn't pay for the steak. It's tastes good though. Very chill place and not as busy. Although outdoors with fans. If you want aircon then go to Sweethearts. Just busier is all

The venue is stunning, a really beautiful fit out. But the service was poor, nobody to direct you to a table/give you a menu/tell you how to order, just seat yourself and work it out. The food took 36 minutes to come out (at 5:30pm) and it was literally microwaved dumplings from Woolies with a splash of sauce on top. The menu is also completely different to what is noted on the menu section here. Super disappointing. Do better.

Only here for drinks and really enjoyed the atmosphere and the open air setting. It’s really cool as they show “flicks” on the wall of lots of old movies! Plenty of John Wayne snips and plenty other great short shows of the past! Many beer choices, they have a happy hour and we didn’t run into any rude staff. Everyone was kind and accommodating!
