We had a great experience at Flick’s in Darwin. Located right in The Cinema Collective on Mitchell Street, this place has such a cool, breezy pavilion vibe. It’s the perfect mix of Darwin’s nostalgic history (it’s built in the old cinema foyer) and modern, tropical feel. Arrived with a hangover... Greated with friendly staff who had great suggestions of what to eat... Ordered a bloody Mary to fix the hangover! The chef needs to be commended! Insanely good chilli scrambled eggs and my son had the breakfast burger! It was a cool temp, comfy booth and nice back ground music.
Tried their vegetarian Lassagnia. Good one. Need one more dishes like Vegetarian Pasta with lentils, spices, etc.. Nice place for a quick bite and enjoy Dry season. May be add few power points around for people who need charging. Should also offer more mocktail options on Menu's as well. Apart from that Nice place.
The venue is stunning, a really beautiful fit out. But the service was poor, nobody to direct you to a table/give you a menu/tell you how to order, just seat yourself and work it out. The food took 36 minutes to come out (at 5:30pm) and it was literally microwaved dumplings from Woolies with a splash of sauce on top. The menu is also completely different to what is noted on the menu section here. Super disappointing. Do better.
This is THE venue that Darwin needed! The venue is stunning, so bright, spacious and tropical vibes. The cocktails are amazing and well made! There is one bar tender who is happy to make classic cocktails on request (thank you!) but it would be good if the menu offered these as well as their signature ones on a normal basis. The pizzas are great. It would be nice to see a seasonal menu or something alike as well! Flicks is a great place for a fun night.
