We were here as part of a HAL Grand World Voyage tour today. The food was spectacular! Chicken satay, char kway teow and laksa were more than wonderful. All were delicious! Recommend that you stophere!
We ordered the roast duck rice and the laksa — both were delicious. The prices are very reasonable, offering great value for money. The restaurant itself looks lovely, making it a nice spot for dates or group dinners. The lemon tea is surprisingly house-made, which was a great touch. We’ll definitely be back! Disappointing experience at Rendezvous Cafe Darwin, particularly if you are ordering their Chinese dishes. The fried rice was completely tasteless, and the other Chinese dishes we tried were dry and entirely devoid of flavor. To be fair, we aren't reviewing their Laksa or other non-Chinese menu items, but the Chinese selection missed the mark completely. On Saturday afternoon, we visited Rendezvous Café. It wasn’t too busy, and we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who were very friendly. The café has a pleasant atmosphere and is kept clean and tidy. The service was impressively quick. I highly recommend trying the satay chicken with peanut sauce—it was absolutely delicious. The special fried rice and the combination dishes were also excellent. Rendezvous Cafe was recommended to me by several people as the place to go for laksa. They delivered. The bbq pork laksa was delicious!
