First time customer to this shop. The seafood was cooked very well with a nice thin & crispy batter. The chips were also good as well. The shop is right across the road from Austinmer beach & we were fortunate to be able to grab table right opposite the shop. It probably helped that we were eating a little late being around 2pm & the sea breeze was a little chilly
Some of the best chip's I've ever had. Staff were amazing. Despite being about to close in 5 minutes, they still took our order. Awesome beach across the road. Though you do need to be careful, the seagulls will steal your food 😆
We arrived 30 minutes before their closing time and the quality of the food was atrocious. Paid over $50 for chips that were burnt and barely edible. Battered sav was over salted. The saving grace was the fish which was ok.
The burgers at this place are beyond amazing. We’ve had the works burger twice now (driver down from the shire to have the second time) and the fish burger. BEYOND delicious! The fish is great too. The chips are average but still tasty.
5 stars for vegan options. I chose bbq sauce, and the burger was super good and very large. The patty tastes like curry and is very flavorful. They also have milk alternatives! 16 AUD for the vegan burger. The fries are so good too. I chose regular salt because I have no idea if chicken salt is vegan. (Maybe it’s just herbs?) Anyways, I was so thankful for this option!
