One of the best fish in ships I've had in a long time, I would love to add more free sauce!
My wonderful experience during my recent visit. The grilled Bara was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection, and the portion sizes were generous, something that seems hard to find these days. The outside decor of the shop caught my attention as I was driving by, which prompted me to stop, and I'm so glad I did. So we stopped by Shells on our travels yesterday 03-03-26 We waited a while before being served, Not sure, if the young lady was New, or the customers, In front of us were holding everyone up, But when served the young lady, was very pleasant, to deal with, We then had to wait quite a bit for our meal, 1 burger meal, with just another burger, They did have a few customers, so I'm guessing they were completely flat out at the back of house. First time customer to this shop. The seafood was cooked very well with a nice thin & crispy batter. The chips were also good as well. The shop is right across the road from Austinmer beach & we were fortunate to be able to grab table right opposite the shop. It probably helped that we were eating a little late being around 2pm & the sea breeze was a little chilly
Some of the best chip's I've ever had. Staff were amazing. Despite being about to close in 5 minutes, they still took our order. Awesome beach across the road. Though you do need to be careful, the seagulls will steal your food 😆
