This place is iconic but I have not eaten at the restaurant for at least 10 years and everything is just the way I remember which is incredible. Great food, beautiful views, cosy fireplaces, gorgeous dogs and that rustic feel. Remember to book it is very busy though. Now I know that it is difficult to be perfect but it did loose a star for honesty. Although printed on the menu is 15% surcharge on Sundays and public holidays which is in there rights to do to cover costs in wages but this was a Saturday and not just a coin... read more
Amazing old school pub. This place has a really nice, warm and cozy feel to it. I loved the indoor fireplaces. The views from the outdoor area are beautiful. Food was on point and we didn’t have to wait too long. I’ll definitely be visiting this place again on a regular basis.
Went a few times there by car or with Motorbike! What a view! Good pub food and a great deck! Book your table on weekends and Public Holidays! Nothing like a sunny day out there! Very old Swiss style Pub with wedding functions, church and awesome views! Coffee & cale later at the Polish Place round the corner!
Location, beautiful. Food, good. Dogs, amazing. However, waiting 1 hour and 20 minutes for food without any acknowledgment of a very long wait is unacceptable. I completely understand there are things out of our control, and it was pretty busy, but that was just poor customer service.
After hearing so much buzz about this spot, we decided to finally give it a try—especially since we were staying right next door. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to the hype. We ordered the chicken parmigiana and the bolognese pasta, both of which were underwhelming and lacked the flavor we’d hoped for. That said, the setting is what truly shines.
