We had a relaxing and peaceful weekend at The Shay. The cottage was beautifully appointed and clean. Loved lying on the comfy king size bed with views over the paddock and watching the wildlife pass by (cattle, sheep and kangaroos). Highly recommend the easy hike up the nearby hill to watch the sunset.
What a lovely little place to stay. Tucked away in the hinterland but also close to the Gold Coast if you wish to go there for some ocean breeze. A very private spot even though the farm house and another guest house on the same property, they are all well and truely spaced out from each other. The bath and fire was a nice cozy and romantic treat. Trish was very professional and considerate

We have a lovely, very peaceful few days here. The Airbnb has everything you’d need for a relaxing time off the grid, the surroundings are stunning and yet still very close to the Gold Coast.

Lovely escape! Spent 2 relaxing nights at the shay. Beautiful place to stay with visits from friendly horses, cows, sheep and wallabies. Trish and Murray were lovely hosts and were happy to help with anything we needed. Definitely recommend a visit.
Such a beautiful place to stay! Very peaceful and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy a Christmas break! Trish was great at helping us and checking-in on us during some stormy weather. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

Country Mile Escape was everything we could have wanted and more. It’s beautiful and even better than the photos. Immaculately clean and well presented. We wanted for nothing and Trish was a wonderful host. Animals and space surrounding us was so perfect. We can’t wait to come back
If you like a couple days of privat/chill time, this is the place to go. You have a lovely house is the backcountry on a farm with many cute animals. The horses, cows, kangaroos and many more greet you when you eat your breakfast on the veranda😊. Would def. go again! Be prepared to not having any signal...
